Gospel group to launch debut album

IF ever there is a cumbersome endeavour that one can embark on in life, that would be trying to merge people from different religious backgrounds and denominations.

Well, Ash Ushe (real name Ashley Ushe) has taken it upon himself to do so and such daredevilry has paid off for him, together with his gospel brigade, Crucified With Christ (CWC) as they will launch their debut album tomorrow.

The Bulawayo Public Library will play host to this event as gospel lovers will witness the launch of an eight-track album.

The visionary, Ash Ushe who was once a hip-hop and R&B artiste said the album will introduce the group formed last year to the world of music.

“Our maiden album which is self-titled is a sermon on the love of one who died for everyone to gain life hence we are crucified with Him. It is also an album to show gratitude to the one who loved us before we even knew him,” said Ash Ushe.

He said the songs were produced in two separate studios, Innora music in Njube as well as Forefront Studios in Cowdray Park. Some of the songs are Ngiyabonga Baba which has been getting airplay on Khulumani FM’s Gospel Top 1o as well as Take it away, Lord I love you and You are Jesus.

CWC comprises Ashley Ushe, Chumile Moyo, Michael Chingwe, Tatenda Maidza, Roland Matsika, and Tinotenda Magwa who is the band’s keyboardist. – @eMKlass_49
