Gospel singer eyes commercial stage

RISING gospel musician, Exaviour Marungisa (28), plans to move from church performances to commercial shows to reach a wider audience and win more souls for the kingdom of God.

He has been performing for the last two years in various churches in and out of Harare, where he has become popular.

Marungisa aims to bring more people into the kingdom of God and plans to release two new singles this month.

He also revealed he will continue performing in churches despite his plans to take his music to the commercial stage.

“I have been engaging a number of promoters and next year, by God’s grace, looks really exciting as I will be making my first performance on the commercial stage,” he said.

“I will be performing both on the commercial stage and in churches.

“My church made me who I am today so I will never leave the church audience.”

He said the two singles he is set to release are meant to thank God for a year that has come to an end despite all its trials and tribulations.
