Government has approved Zvishavane Town Council’s US$11, 3 million budget for 2025, which is a US$1,3 million increase from the previous budget of US$10 million.
This was revealed by the council chairperson, Councillor Takarangana Keta, in an interview on Wednesday.
“Our budget proposal of US$11,3 million for 2025 has been approved and we will be implementing new tariffs and embarking on several developmental projects,” he said.
Councillor Keta said the primary budget sources are rates, water, grants and beer levies.
“Some of the major projects in the budget include improving water distribution, installing solar powered boreholes, construction of reservoir tank, rehabilitation and upgrading of wastewater facilities and equipment, hydrogen suckers, sewer rodding trailer and public safety and security,” he said.
