Harare, Zimbabwe – President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF), today handed over a fleet of 54 top-notch vehicles, including both double and single-cab Ford Rangers, to the uniformed forces.

During the event, President Mnangagwa took the opportunity to test drive one of the vehicles, showcasing the Government’s commitment to equipping the ZDF with modern transportation. The handover is part of a broader initiative to enhance the operational capabilities of the military.

Following the vehicle presentation, the President toured the recently constructed ZDF housing project in Dzivaresekwa, part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to provide adequate housing for service members and their families.
This initiative aligns with the Government’s goal of delivering one million houses by 2025, a cornerstone of the Second Republic’s housing strategy.
