Government is targeting uplifting livelihoods of women, communities and Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and cooperatives.

Addressing a Strategic and Annual Plan Dissemination Workshop at Belvedere Teachers’ College yesterday, permanent secretary in the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Moses Mhike, said  they foresee great achievements in uplifting women’s livelihoods.

‘‘We want to equip all the ministry staff at provincial, district and ward levels with relevant information to enable them to have a clear understanding of the ministry’s strategic annual plan first.

“As we share our knowledge, expertise and best practices, we will create team work and cohesion from head office to ward level which will propel our nation towards the fulfilment of the National Development Strategy.”
