“He is now training with us and depending on how he performs during our sessions, he could be part of the squad this Sunday,” said Bosso gaffer Kelvin Kaindu.
His replacement, young Ozzie Zibande, has failed to live up to it amid fears that the pressure of expectation could bring him down.
Kaindu said the team has been busy preparing and working on its shortcomings following the defeat by Monomotapa.
“We are preparing well and as Highlanders, we certainly cannot afford to go for two games without a win. It’s a tricky game because we have reached a stage where every team wants maximum points for different reasons,” said Kaindu.
Highlanders do not only need a win over the police side but need an emphatic win to send a clear warning to their archrivals Dynamos, whom they meet in their next away match.
The two giants are separated by two points with the Glamour Boys leading the pack and definitely their meeting in the capital will be a tough one.
While Tshilamoya will be welcoming Warumwa Warumwa, DeMbare will be 335km away at the Colliery for a match which will be more than a final for Chipangano who are now firmly one of the relegation favourites.
It is a grudge match after Hwange coaches, Nation Dube and Mebelo Njekwa were assaulted by rogue DeMbare marshals in the reverse fixture which ended 4-2 in favour of the Harare side. Hwange had to play without their coaches. Dube and Njekwa will be in full control of the team following the resignation of Tennant Chilumba and victory for the home side will be more than sweet revenge.
DeMbare though are seasoned and known fighters and it will not be surprising if they are to come out of the Colliery with all the three points. Chipangano have not beaten Dynamos at home since 2009.
Chicken Inn, who are fighting for a top eight finish, are playing host to relegation fighting Hardbody at Luveve Stadium while another Bulawayo side, Quelaton, who are yet to win in 180 minutes, are on the road to Larfarge for a battle against Gunners.
