A Mbare woman applied for a protection order against her granddaughter for accusing her of witchcraft.

Blandina Mushonga said she wanted her granddaughter, Belinda Mandizha, to move out of her house for the accusations.

“This child says deep, hurtful words that I cannot repeat in court.

“She calls me a witch. Ndine uroyi wekuti ndiroye iye, ndoroya mai wake futi here,” said Mushonga.

Belinda said she had already moved out of her grandmother’s house.

“I used to reside at her place in Mbare and I moved out of her house.

“There is nothing wrong with maintaining peace with her,” said Belinda.

Magistrate Sharon Mashavira granted the grandmother the protection order.
