Blessed Katiyo in Johannesburg
AFTER staging a number of shows in Birmingham in the UK, high-flying Zimdancehall man-of-the-moment Silent Killer is set to perform in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, this weekend.
The artist’s hits, including Midzimu Isina, Dhiki, Usasaize, and Mulundukwa from his 2023 album Hurungwere, have catapulted him into the spotlight after a period on the sidelines.
His first show will be held tonight at Jacaranda Lounge in Cosmo City. The gig is the brainchild of Ernest Chirovapasi of Inizha Entertainment. A number of DJs and artists, who include Inno B, Blasta, Vicious, Tracy Gee and Dracullar will be there.
“As Inizha Entertainment, we have had requests from Silent Killer’s fans who haven’t had an opportunity to see him in a long way. He is undoubtedly the much sought after Zimdancehall artist at the moment and it is only befitting that his fans in this country get to party with him as well,” said Chirovapasi.
He flies to Cape Town for tomorrow night’s show at Gonzo’s Pool Bar in Milnerton before returning to Johannesburg on Sunday morning for a performance in Pretoria at O Bar.
A welcome party was organised last night by Mr Gee at Chronic 24/7 club in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, when the chanter landed from the United Kingdom. He was set to interact with the likes of Etherton B, I-Randu, 2Bad, Shortboss of Judgement Yard and others.
