Granny cries in court

AN elderly woman cried before Harare magistrate Tamara Chibindi while explaining how abusive her grandson is to her.

Nhau Musonza was yesterday granted a peace order against her violent grandson, Bruce Musonza, at the Harare Civil Court.

Gogo Musonza told the court that she has a protection order against Bruce which he has been breaching.

She pleaded with the court to evict him from her house, saying Bruce had threatened to kill her on numerous occasions.

“He insults and harasses me. I have a protection order against him, but he has been violating the order.

“He threatened to kill me with a gun. I want him evicted from my house,” she said.

In response, Bruce denied the accusations, arguing that he was only fighting for his rights.

“The problem started when she gave my piece of land to my younger brother.

“I have never insulted her and she knows that.  She only wants me to keep quiet about the land,” he said.
