THREE men have been hauled to court on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.

Nesbert Nyamugafata, 44, Silvester Khumalo, 29, and Taurai Kasora, 31, were denied bail when they appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

The trio was urged to approach the High Court for their bail application.

Through their lawyer, the three denied all allegations and claimed that they were heavily assaulted by the police.

Allegations are that on November 23, the trio approached the complainant at Santa Heights Bus Stop.

They forced him into their car and drove for about 800 metres to a place where his girlfriend stays.

When they arrived, they allegedly started assaulting him.

It is alleged that they stole the complainant’s US$800, BMW keys and Tecno cellphone.
