Life Issues with FGK
THERE is a parable in the Bible that talks about 10 lepers who went to Jesus to seek healing and got healed.
Only one came back to Jesus, fell at his feet, and thanked him.
And, it is only this one leper that was made whole after showing gratitude for the healing.
This week, we are focusing on gratitude and its importance. Gratitude is generally a positive emotion that involves being thankful and appreciative.
It is an acknowledgment of small and big acts that someone has done for you.
Life will always be enjoyable if you learn to show gratitude towards people that do well to you all the time. Probably this is because gratitude is associated with several mental and physical health benefits.
It manifests through feelings of kindness and warmth.
We have many signs of gratefulness and some of them include: thanking someone for the positive impact they have in your life, meditation or prayer that is focused on giving thanks and doing something kind for another person.
Some thank the Creator for good health, family or work. Expressing gratefulness to God for all the various things He does for us is called gratitude in spiritual practice and it opens our spiritual eyes.
Similarly, spending a few moments thinking about the positive things in your life and being thankful will bring joy and peace to you.
Thus, it is important to always show gratitude even for the smallest of good gestures.
In Christian terms, there is a beautiful cycle in giving God thanks because the more we thank Him, the more we see Him working in us and around us.
Also, it is said gratitude makes what we have enough. If we are not grateful for what we have, getting more will not satisfy us either.
Appreciating people that have assisted us can help establish stronger bonds and further attracts positive gestures from others. I do not think there is anyone who is willing to assist a person that is not appreciative?
In conclusion, I would light to highlight that no matter what challenges you are going through, there are people that will always stand by you. It is such individuals that you need to show gratitude all the time.
