GREEN ARMY IN FULL FORCE

Sports Reporter

CAPS United might have lost their first home league game of the new season but there was no questioning the Green Army’s fans commitment to their club.

The Makepekepe supporters came in huge numbers to record probably their biggest crowd, in a match which is not the Harare Derby, in a very long time.

The Green Machine revealed yesterday that more than 11 000 fans paid to watch their match against Scottland.

Given that the cheapest ticket was going for US$5, instead of the usual US$3, this was a very good crowd to watch the showdown between the two Harare clubs. It’s also the biggest crowd to watch a match at Rufaro, which does not involve DeMbare, in years.

While CAPS United were overpowered on the pitch, their fans created a beautiful atmosphere in the stands with their brand new VIEGO kits catching the eye.
