The win left Grinovich and Carlsberg as the only teams yet to taste a defeat after 19 rounds of action and the former side are strongly poised to get a ticket into Division One next season.
Grinovich, who are under the guidance of former Black Aces and Chapungu United ace midfielder Moses “Gwejegweje” Chasweka, have now amassed 51 points after having won 16 games and drew three.
They have scored a massive 66 goals.
“The guys are playing well and are focused. Our main aim is to gain promotion into Division One next year and possibly challenge for a place in the Premier League.
“We have a number of talented young players who are hungry for success and with the right guidance, which I think I’m currently giving them, only the sky is the limit for them,” Chasweka said.
Carlsberg, meanwhile, consolidated their second place after beating Ray of Hope 3-1 in another match exciting match at the weekend. They have now taken their points tally to 44 but are seven points behind Grinovich having played one game less.
In other matches at the weekend, FC Demolition crushed Native Bulls 3-1 with Old Pirates and Blue Dragon playing out a goalless draw.
