Man beats naked wife in front of children

Tendai Hove was brought to court by his estranged wife Pamela, who was seeking a protection order.
Pamela told the court that her husband was abusive and sometimes beats her up in the streets.
“He calls me a prostitute, witch and any other ugly names he wishes.

“My husband also threatens to take the children away from me and one day he beat me up in front of the children while I was naked,” she said.
Responding to his wife’s application for a protection order, Tendai told the court that his wife loved beer too much. “She goes clubbing and she is one person who really enjoys her fun.

“My wife comes home drunk and is dropped home by strangers and if I ask her about it, she gives me rude answers.
“I am the one who is always at home with the kids while she enjoys herself in friends’ company elsewhere — drinking,” he said.

The couple agreed to postpone the matter for three months while they sort their marriage out.

They proposed that “Tendai will continue looking after the family and is to have reasonable access of the children in the presence of a third party.
“If it is necessary the matter will continue after three months,” they said. Magistrate, Mr Milton Serima, postponed the matter to October 9.
