Muzhange, who is employed by Guard Alert, has since appeared in court charged with contravening the Firearms Act.
He was not asked to plead to the charge when he appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Ms Olivia Mariga.
He was remanded to September 4 on US$50 bail. Charges against Muzhange arose on August 26, at Access Service Station in Chitungwiza, when Kenneth Marowa of Tynwald North decided to refuel his vehicle.
Marowa allegedly produced a torn and soiled US$5 note, which he handed to the attendant.
An argument between the two ensued after the fuel attendant refused to accept the money. The fuel attendant then called Muzhange for help.
Muzhange immediately came to the scene and ordered Marowa to move his car from the tank and park elsewhere within the service station.
At that time, a kombi arrived and a policeman and an Air Force official disembarked and came to Marowa’s rescue.
They ordered Muzhange to drop the weapon and subsequently arrested him.
