TWO security guards, who were entrusted with the responsibility to protect a local firm, have been implicated in a robbery that occurred at the premises after they were caught on camera receiving their share of the stolen money.

Marshal Siyamboko and Tonderai Sixpence were captured on the CCTV footage receiving money from their suspected accomplices before they left the scene.

Siyamboko and Sixpence are employed by Raven Shield security company and were deployed to Turnal Holdings.

At around 2am, a group of armed robbers arrived at the complex armed with pistols, machetes and iron bars. They captured the other security guards who were on duty and they left them under guard of one of the gang members outside the premises.

Siyamboko and Sixpence allegedly then took their accomplices around the yard showing them offices and their target room.

The armed robbers broke various office doors using iron bars.

They broke a safe and stole US$5866 which they later shared among themselves.

CCTV footage later showed the two guards getting a share from the loot.

The footage also captures the two chatting with the armed robbers.

Siyamboko led the police to the recovery of US$40, which was part of the stolen cash, which he had concealed under a plank at Turnal Holdings car park.

Sixpence also led the detectives to the recovery of US$40, which was part of the stolen cash, from a jacket in his bedroom.

Sixpence told the court that he never received any money from the robbers and he was just dragged into the robbery and was ordered to comply with the robbers’ orders.
