WINNERS of the Gushungo Celebrations Challenge match will walk home with $45,000 and the losing team will get $35,000, organisers have revealed.Old foes, Highlanders and Dynamos will battle it out for the prize money at the giant National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The match is meant to celebrate President Mugabe’s resounding victory in the harmonised elections last year.

“The prize money has been finalised and it’s all systems go now with everything in as far as preparations are concerned at an advanced level,” said the spokesperson of the organising committee, respected football commentator Charles ‘CNN’ Mabika.

He said to add spice to the match, the two giants will be allowed to field guest players who they might want to register for the Premiership season next year.

“We are celebrating with a man of the people, someone who encompasses everyone and therefore we also want to extend the same thing to the teams. If the two teams have a player they want to probably sign for next year, they can go ahead and use him,” said Mabika.

Highlanders have already said they will field players that they are likely to register for the 2015 season, amid reports that 75 percent of the players whose contracts are expiring might not be registered.

The two giants will be meeting for the fifth time this season, The Glamour Boys emerging victorious in all the four previous clashes.

Dynamos posted identical 1-0 wins in the two league matches, beat Bosso 2-0 in the Bob90 Super Cup at Rufaro Stadium before clinching the TM Supermarkets Challenge trophy with an emphatic 4-1 scoreline.

Mabika said the match will head straight into the penalty lottery if the two teams are still level after 90 minutes.

Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Emmerson Mnangagwa, who was President Mugabe’s chief election agent, will be the guest of honour.
