A 19-year-old Gwanda man was arrested after he was reportedly caught quenching his sexual appetite on his neighbour’s female donkey. Thabisani Dube of Arthurstone Resettlement in West Nicholson allegedly tied the donkey’s legs and neck to a tree in a bushy area near the homestead before forcing himself on it.The owner Gibson Nkala caught Dube in action after a long search for his donkey, which had been separated from others.
It is said Nkala was drawn to where Dube and the donkey were after hearing funny sounds of the abused animal from that direction. Dube quickly dressed up when Nkala caught him and fled but was later apprehended by community members who reported the matter to the police.
Matabeleland South provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Christopher Ngwenya confirmed the incident.
“I confirm that a man was arrested after being caught having sexual intercourse with a donkey in West Nicholson. He will soon appear in court facing charges of bestiality,” he said.
