THE Gwanda Pool Association (GPA) recently held an Annual General Meeting that saw its affiliates elect a new executive.
At the meeting, Dumile Zolani, retained the chairmana��s post and he now has Clement Makura as his deputy.
The associationa��s new treasurer is Aibu Phiri who took over from Xolani Tshuma. Shepherd Tshuma landed the post of secretary-general which was previously held by Errol Mapfumo.
The new fixtures secretary is Carlton Dube. He succeeds Ronald Kadenhe. Dube will be assisted by Wonder Joya. Lee Masuku was voted to the disciplinary chairmana��s post and he replaces Nomia Mapiki.
Jestinos Manhema replaces Mike Mahone as the umpires president. Adams Kamurayi remained as the GPA publicity secretary.
a�?We are happy that we recently held a fruitful AGM. The meeting ushered a new executive which will again be led by Dumile Zolani,a�? said Kamurayi.
Ahead of the start of the 2016 season the association welcomed three new clubs Masters Billiards, Blanket Mine and Moto Moto.
On Saturday, league action enters week four. Filabusi face Big Stars while ZRP Gwanda take on Q10. Club 727 has a date with Manzi Amnyama. In a battle of newboys, Blanket Mine will square it off against Billards Masters. Talk Of Gwanda will be home to Jabula.
