Gwevedzi invades Theatre in the Park

AFRO Acoustic quartet,  Gwevedzi, is on fire.

The four-piece band will perform at Theatre in the Park tomorrow where they are set to meet the capital’s big spenders

Famed for their hit Ndinouya, the group has promised fireworks.

In an interview, the spokesperson for the band, Gladmore Bvuta, said:

“The band is extremely honoured and prepared to be igniting fireworks on Friday.”

Passmore Ndlovu, the Rooftop Promotions programmes and communications officer, said it was all systems go.

“Tickets for all the shows are already on sale at Theatre in the Park.

“We are ready for this particular show,” he said.

Gwevedzi was formed in 2016 in Harare.

Gwevedzi is a Shona name given to a suitor, in a courtship between a young lady and a young man, to strengthen the love between the two.

The band consists of four members.
