Hadebe donates to youths in Makokoba

WARRIORS defender Teenage Hadebe continues to give back to the Makokoba community in Bulawayo, where his football journey began.

Through the Teenage Hadebe Foundation, the United States-based defender has donated football kits to local youth teams, Real Stars and Tigers FC.

The kits, catering for age groups from Under-13 to Under-17, were handed over at 11th Street Ground, in a move aimed at supporting grassroots football development.

His continued efforts are part of a broader initiative to empower young people through sport and help combat drug and substance abuse.

“We want to thank him for remembering where he came from, his football journey did not start at Highlanders, it started here in these dusty pitches, so for him to remember that it means a lot,” Dumisani Hadebe said.

“This is massive for us, for young boys, little things matter. These kits ensure that we are all uniform and no one is left behind or segregated because they do not have good training gear; we have everything.

“Training kits to playing kits for three age groups are a major boost for us because we want to ensure that these youngsters are consistently occupied so that they do not have time for drugs,” Real Stars Director, Clemence Chimimba added.

This is not the first time Hadebe has extended a helping hand to the community, with the Warriors defender also hosting an annual youth tournament in Bulawayo, where he donates kits and equipment to community teams -Lawrence Trusida, ZBC.
