FORMER Big Brother housemate Hakeem will this month launch his music career with the unveiling of his much hyped single, Gimme a Minute. Born Munyaradzi Matthew Mandaza, the body builder prefers to call himself Hakeem; a word which translated into Shona means Munyaradzi.Hakeem announced on his Facebook page that his dream was finally coming true as he was preparing to launch his music career.
“Thank you for your support, it has been appreciated each step of the way. I hope it will continue to grow with each new venture. I will be launching my single, Gimme a Minute this December,” he posted.
Soon after his Big Brother eviction, Hakeem announced that he had accomplished his mission in the house because all he had wanted from the beginning was to use the BBA show as a platform to market his career as an artiste.
“Music has always been my first love and I am now looking forward to recording some songs, putting my music out there and using the exposure I gained from the show to market myself as an artiste,” he said then.
Hakeem showcased his musical skills by singing for his former love, Clementine “Cleo”, Mulenga from time to time.
He has been involved in modelling and is a professional body builder who took part in this year’s Mr Zimbabwe Body Building contest in Kadoma having won the Mr Harare Fitness competition.
