a?Iam happy that the IHF D coaching course was successfully conducted. My vision is to see handball developing from grassroots to senior level with national teams participating in regional and international tournaments. I also wish to see the Zimbabwe handball team take part in the 2024 Olympic Games,a? said Sanhewe.
The coaching course, which drew 54 participants in Bulawayo, was previously held in Harare and Kadoma with 52 and 34 coaches taking part respectively.
a?I hope the coaches that took part will pass information to their counterparts in their respective districts. I believe this will help us in trying to develop the game,a? he added.
Martin said the fact that the local handball coaches took their time during the Easter holiday to seek more handball knowledge showed that they were committed to the development and growth of the sporting discipline.
a?Coaches took their time during a holiday to attend the course and it shows that they are committed. The new Zimbabwe Handball Federation is very active and comprises of gentlemen that are committed to the game. They should continue working hard,a? said Murtin.
