Preparations of the Harare Cup Clash have gathered momentum with organisers saying all artistes billed to perform have confirmed participation. The clash will see popular dancehall artistes showcasing their prowess and the upcoming singers proving that they are also in the game. The major event will be held on August 29 at the City Sports Centre, the place that has become the ceremonial home for dancehall clashes.

The event, which is hosted by Chipaz promotions will see DJs and artistes performing among them the prominent dancehall stars Soul Jah Love, Killer T and Seh Calaz.

In an interview with The Herald Entertainment, organiser of the event Partson Chimbodza of Chipaz Promotions said that 15 to 20 artistes will be there and preparations are at an advanced stage.

“The clash will be held at the usual place the City Sports Centre on August 29 and everything is now in place. We have sat down with the artistes who will perform and they confirmed that they are going come. So as far as preparations are concerned we are good,” said Chipaz

“As far as security is concerned, everything is in place as this year we have beefed up our security, there will be lights throughout the auditorium and outside and everything will be monitored,” he said

Chipaz also said if the venue is full to capacity the entrances will be closed and no one will be allowed to enter to avoid overcrowding.

“This how we can avoid the scenarios that we have been facing the previous years,” he said
