THE Harare Derby, which had been set for this Sunday at the National Sports Stadium, hangs in the balance after three players each from the two clubs were drafted into the Warriors squad that will be in action on the same day in Windhoek, Namibia.

The Premier Soccer League had scheduled the outstanding fixture this weekend.

Coach Sunday Chidzambwa picked Dynamos defenders Ocean Mushure and Obey Mwerahari as well as midfielder Emmanuel Mandiranga.

From CAPS United, the coach selected Ronald “Rooney” Chitiyo, Abbas Amidu and Moses Muchenje.

Dynamos chairman Kenny Mubaiwa last night said they will not go ahead with the match if three of their players were with the national team.

“We spoke to ZIFA that CAPS United are very behind with their games so CAPS United need to fulfil their games and had decided to play the derby this weekend and the association had agreed not to select players from the two clubs.

“But if it is true that we have three players in the national team then we will not play the match.

“We want to play when we have all our players,” said Mubaiwa.

CAPS United arrived yesterday from Algeria.

PSL Communications and Media Liaison officer Kudzai Bare said as far as they were concerned the game was still on until they receive instructions from the two clubs which show otherwise.

“It is up to them the clubs to decide whether to play or not. So we stand to be guided by them. But for now they haven’t communicated.

“We will let you know once there are any changes,” she said.
