The City of Harare has reduced the clamping fee which was pegged at US$132.
If a vehicle is clamped, motorists are now expected to pay US$57 within three hours.
However, failure to do so means that one has to pay the US$57 plus a parking fine of US$65.

City of Harare has also indicated that if a motorist pays for a parking ticket, gets delayed within a reasonable time, they will be allowed to pay an extra US$1 without being fined.
If a motorist exceeds more than 30 minutes from their booked time, they will be fined.
Harare mayor, Jacob Mafume, said they have instructed the finance committee to begin the process of reducing the fines.
