DYNAMOS are staring at another moment of uncertainty on the technical bench, with Kelvin Kaindu now in talks with Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newcomers Hardrock FC and the club weighing a possible return to Tonderayi Ndiraya.
Ndiraya, however, is not short of options. He is also being pursued by Chicken Inn and Simba Bhora, a situation that complicates Dynamos’ thinking as they wait on Kaindu’s next move.
Chicken Inn are understood to be leading the race for Ndiraya’s signature, but the former Dynamos coach has yet to shut the door on other possibilities. At Chicken Inn, he would take over from Joey Antipas, who is expected to be reassigned to a technical director role.
The timing of Ndiraya’s decision is closely linked to Kaindu’s situation. Dynamos are watching developments carefully as talks between the Zambian coach and Hardrock gather pace.
A reliable source confirmed the shifting ground.
“It’s almost certain that Ndiraya will be Chicken Inn FC coach but there is also temptation of rejoining either Simba Bhora or Dynamos. Kaindu has already started talks with Hardrock and will be heading there,” said the source.
Kaindu joined the Glamour Boys in August on a short term deal and quickly made his presence felt, steering the club away from relegation danger, during a difficult campaign.
His influence was further highlighted by Dynamos’ Chibuku Super Cup triumph, one of the few bright spots in a challenging season that demanded steady leadership.
Despite that success, Dynamos have been unable to reach an agreement with Kaindu beyond the end of the month. With his contract close to expiring, Hardrock have stepped in, opening discussions as they prepare for their maiden season in the top flight.
The ambitious newcomers are looking for a replacement for Luke Masomere, the coach who guided them to promotion and see Kaindu as a figure capable of setting a strong early foundation.
As those negotiations unfold, Dynamos are left to reassess their options. Ndiraya, who has coached the club before and remains a familiar presence, is among the names being considered should Kaindu decide to move on. His return would add another chapter to a club that has struggled to find lasting stability in the dugout.
The contrast is stark. Hardrock are pushing forward with clear intent as they plan for life in the Premier Soccer League, while Dynamos once again find themselves confronting transition and tough choices.
For now, Kaindu’s future is unresolved. But with talks advancing and alternatives already in play, Dynamos may soon be forced into a decision that could again shape and test, the direction of the club.
