THE tremors from the fallout triggered by the decision by Everson Feremba and Marlvin Madzuva to leave Black Rhinos and move to MWOS are still being felt at the two-time Zimbabwe league champions.
Goalkeeper Lennon Gonese, who wanted to force a move to Scottland, appears to have been frozen from the Rhinos set-up. The army side are still in the ZIFA Northern Region championship race.
The goalkeeper, who lost his mother some four weeks ago, has been languishing on the sidelines.
He was the goalkeeper of choice in the opening 23 matches, keeping 14 clean sheets. Sources said Gonese has been trying to get back into the team but appears to be hitting a brick wall.
His problems, according to the same sources, started when he tried to force his way to move to Scottland, who are one of the main rivals of Rhinos in the championship race.
Gonese did not travel with the team for today’s game against Zambezi Gas and Coal.
“He is ready to play but he is being frozen out because of these reports that he wanted to walk away.
“He is suffering the effects of wanting a lucrative deal to Scottland,” said the source.
