Zimbabwe swimming is bright considering the large turnout of participants at Les Brown pool and the good times they posted.
“There is a lot of talent which we have seen during the tournament, several records were broken and we have faith in the young talent,” said Harwood.
“The event was so organised such that we managed to finish all the six rounds in time and everyone enjoyed each moment.
“We also thank the sponsors who were with us during the event.
“The future is bright considering that several teams managed to send in representatives in almost each discipline.
“The support the athletes received from both teams and parents was overwhelming, it made the competition very entertaining.”
He said they also prepared well for the big event.
“The pool was in a good state,” said Harwood, who also praised participants who came from Malawi.
“This year we had very competitive athletes and some of them are so promising.
“If you can take a look at Ratidzo Mutangadura you can see potential for the future.”
The six-day tournaments’ curtain come down on Sunday with 12 clubs taking part and it was Sharks Swimming Club who emerged triumphant.
