CAPS United midfielder, Ben Musaka, says his journey to recovery has been a tough one after he spent three months out because of injury.
On his return, the midfielder was deployed as a centreback, a role which has since helped to stabilise the Makepekepe ship.
“It has been a tough journey, honestly, going out with an injury for more than three months.
“It was a tough period for me because when I thought I was going to be fine, the pain would come back again,” he said.
Musaka said, as a team, they need to focus and rise on the log standings.
“What we basically need is to focus on one game at a time and it’s always important to do that and take as many points as we can.
“Since we started the first training session of the second half of the season, everyone has been more focused and we are hoping that it will start paying off.
“We ignore the distraction and just focus and the most important thing is to get the team to where it should be.
“As a team, we have been looking at ourselves, and focusing on places, which need reinforcement,” he said.
Musaka, whose side will face Manica Diamonds at the National Sports Stadium this Sunday, added:
“We are not concerned much about our opponents.
“We just need to be in a safe spot on the log first and finish in the top eight or six.
“I think it will be a good achievement for us.
“We would have sent a message to our opponents ahead of next season.”
