A TEARFUL Mutare man approached the civil courts last week seeking a protection order against his abusive wife.
Clever Maruma appeared before Mrs Anniah Ndiraya praying to be protected against his wife Tendai Muuya.
Maruma told the court that his marriage was now in tatters.
“Your Worship this woman is violent at home and at my workplace. She is a thorn in my flesh and has the habit of insulting me for no apparent reason,” he said.
However, Muuya denied the allegations levelled against her saying that she was never divorced by this man rather he married another wife and moved in with her.
“I never had problems with that, we lived peacefully until the day he started insulting me and calling me different names. Your worship I am shocked to see on his affidavit referring to me his ex-wife in this court because he never divorced me. He is just fabricating stories because he wants me out of his way,” said Muuya
Mrs Ndiraya granted the order. And in response to the judgement, Muuya decided to file a maintenance claim for her one minor child.
