Zimbabwe is poised to revolutionise its healthcare sector through technology as the world embraces digital transformation.

The healthcare industry is facing increasing challenges emanating from limited resources and staff attrition that affect efficient service delivery.

Recognising the urgent need for innovation in healthcare, the Entrepreneurs Network of Zimbabwe (ENZ) is set to host the Health Tech Connect Conference 2025 on February 27 and 28.

The conference, to be held under the theme “Building healthcare systems with tech-driven solutions,” is a landmark event that will unite medical professionals, technology experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore how cutting-edge innovations can enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and drive the future of healthcare in Zimbabwe and beyond.

With the rapid evolution of medical technologies, Health Tech Connect 2025 will serve as a platform for professionals to engage with the latest advancements, share knowledge, and explore solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency in healthcare institutions.

Speaking on the significance of the event, ENZ chief executive Mr Gillian Rusike emphasised the need for technology integration in healthcare.

“We are at a turning point where technology is no longer an option but a necessity in the medical field. Health Tech Connect 2025 is about bringing stakeholders together to embrace innovations that will improve patient care, streamline medical value chain operations, and ultimately save lives,” he said.

A key highlight of the event will be the exploration of emerging technologies in healthcare and their transformative role in diagnostics, treatment, and patient care.

Discussions are expected to delve into the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning, particularly in early disease detection, personalised medicine, and robotic-assisted surgeries.

He said the integration of virtual and augmented reality in therapeutic interventions, medical training, and rehabilitation would also take centre stage, showcasing how immersive technology can revolutionize healthcare delivery.

As the world moves towards digital health systems, Health Tech Connect 2025 will provide deep insights into the growing influence of telehealth platforms, mobile health applications, wearable technology, and virtual consultations.

These innovations are increasingly bridging the gap between medical practitioners and patients, offering greater accessibility to healthcare services, especially in underserved areas.

According to marketing executive for ENZ Ms Roseline Chisveto, the conference would be a game-changer for professionals across various industries.

“Health Tech Connect 2025 is not just a conference; it is a movement towards a smarter, more efficient healthcare system. This event offers you the tools and knowledge to be part of the digital transformation in healthcare,” she said.

She said the event was a must-attend for anyone passionate about the future of healthcare.

“Whether you are a medical professional seeking innovative solutions, a tech entrepreneur developing disruptive health-tech products, or a policymaker shaping healthcare regulations, this conference offers unparalleled opportunities to stay ahead of the curve,” she added.
