Some parts of the country recorded very high temperatures on Thursday as the country experienced a heatwave that is expected to affect the country until December 11.
In a statement, the Meteorological Services Department (MSD) said Beitbridge had the highest temperature of 43 degrees Celsius, down from 44 degrees celsius on Wednesday.
Chiredzi had 42 degrees celsius down from 43, Kanyemba 42 degrees up from 41 degrees,
Lupane 41 degrees up from 40 degrees, Binga 40 degrees, Gwanda 39 degrees down from 40 degrees, and Kariba 39 degrees.
The department indicated that there were isolated showers in Matabeleland South as rain clouds were slowly drifting in from Botswana while all the other parts of the country were sunny, humid and hot.
Bulawayo Metropolitan and all Matabeleland provinces are expected to have brief cloudy conditions on Friday with a chance of showers that may be thundery in places.
All other parts of the country should be sunny, humid and very hot. The department urged the public to stay hydrated.
