High Court slams door on bail bid by notorious robbery duo

B-Metro Reporter
TWO suspected armed robbers with ties to a daring jailbreak mastermind were shot, caught, and now locked out of bail after the High Court ruled they were a flight risk and a danger to society.

Gibson Dalidzo Manjonda and Edward Takunda Manjonda, both allegedly linked to Luke Zinyengere – the man who made headlines for a brazen prison escape – found their hopes of walking free shattered.

Their arrest reads like an action movie – one was gunned down while trying to flee in Kwekwe, while the other pulled a disappearing act after his initial arrest. But the law caught up with both.

Cops say they were armed and dangerous, accused of not one, but two armed robberies. And when they were finally cuffed, they had stolen phones and even led investigators to not one, but two getaway vehicles!

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the State wasn’t buying any sob stories – arguing these two were a threat to the public and would disappear faster than you can say “bail granted.”
