BULAWAYO today hosts a high level business breakfast meeting, which seeks to bring together company executives, politicians, business and union leaders to discuss economic development opportunities in the city. A local company, Innotec, is organising the event in collaboration with the Buy Zimbabwe Campaign and Zimbabwe Retailers.

Innotec administration officer Nompumelelo Bhebhe yesterday said today’s discussion would lay the foundation for monthly engagements on a variety of economic topics across provinces.

“The breakfast business forum will be held every first Thursday of the month in different provinces at a time throughout the year.

“The forum offers business leaders in each province an opportunity to listen to the presentations of high profile guest speakers and ask questions on issues affecting their areas,” said Bhebhe.

Invited panelists for today’s meeting include the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs in Bulawayo, Nomthandazo Eunice Moyo, the Mayor Martin Moyo, ZESA Western Region general manager Lovemore Chinaka, United Refineries chief executive officer Busisa Moyo and the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries Matabeleland Chapter president Walter Chigwada.

Bhebhe said participants would deliberate on issues affecting Bulawayo industries and the general business environment in relation to the government’s broader socio-economic vision, challenges faced and opportunities.
