Elizabeth Chikwenda, an Upper Six student at Chinhoyi Technical High School, is leading a campaign that seeks to provide sanitary pads to over 100 disadvantaged girls at Portlet Secondary School in Makonde District.

Recognising the struggles that many girls in rural communities face when it comes to managing their menstrual health, Elizabeth has been reaching out to various organisations and individuals for support.

“By donating pads, we can help ensure that these girls can attend school regularlywith dignity,” Elizabeth said.

“This support can truly improve the girls’ overall well-being and academic performance.”

She said the impact of this contribution extends beyond mere supplies as it promises to change the lives of the recipients, enabling them to pursue their education without the challenges posed by menstrual health.
