Highlanders begin countdown to 100 years with grand centenary launch

THE official proceedings of the Highlanders Football Club centenary celebrations have just started at their clubhouse, with club chairperson Kenneth Mhlophe delivering his welcome remarks.

Established in 1926, the Bulawayo football giants will next year mark 100 years of existence.

“Special welcome to everyone, on behalf of the Highlanders Football Club and the 100 years’ celebrations committee I would Luke to welcome you all. Special welcome to our guest of honour, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Bulawayo Province Honourable Judith Ncube.”
