Highlanders FC, Triangle tied nil all at halftime

Fungai Muderere at Barbourfields Stadium

HIGHLANDERS and Triangle United are tied nil all at halftime in a Week 22 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match that has seen both side fail to break teh deadlock at Barbourfields Stadium.

It is a match in which Bosso miss the services of their stand in captain Andrew Mbeba due to an injury he picked last Sunday.

Bosso, who are captained by Darlington Munkuli, have been the most offensive side only to be let down by their poor finishing.

The chief culprit has been bald headed Marvin Sibanda, who has squandered numerous goal scoring opportunities after being set up by impressive Bosso livewire Mafios Chihweta.

As early as the sixth minute, Sibanda was adjudged to be offside after being released by pint sized Chihweta.

Baby Quantum as Chihweta is known, has scored three goals for Bosso in this campaign, continued to torment the Triangle back line.

However, Triangle who are being captained by Thabani Kamusoko have been coy to ask questions from Bosso goalminder Reward Muza.

In the 37 minute, from another Chihweta intelligent feed and with Bosso followers already up to celebrate a goal, Sibanda took ages to fire at goal in the process, allowing the visitors defence to clear their lines.

Highlanders have struggled for consistency and are looking forward to bounce back and to use home advantage to snatch their eighth win of the season

The first-leg clash between the two sides ended 1-1 at Gibbo Stadium.
