HOMECOMING SHOW FOR TRIO

IT’S going to be a tough reunion for Scottland trio of Terrence Dzukamanja, Nelson Chadya and Gareth Madhake as they make a trip to Baobab to meet Ngezi Platinum on Saturday.

Dzvukamanja, Chadya and Madhake enjoyed considerable success with the 2023 Castle Lager Premiership champions.

Chadya left the club as the most capped player when he joined Scottland earlier this season as he spent nearly a decade with Madamburo.

And his return to Baobab should be welcomed because he was good to them.

For Dzvukamanja, this will be his first time in his career to play against a team that unearthed him from nothing and made him a Warrior.

Dzukamanja left Ngezi during the 2019 campaign and remains the only player that Madamburo sold outside the country.

A sizeable section of Ngezi fans still rate Dzvukamanja as the best player ever to play for the club. The former Orlando Pirates forward made his debut for Scottland last Sunday when they suffered a 0-1 loss at the hands of CAPS United.

Madhake was one of the better players when Ngezi won the championship.

Chances of Scottland trio damaging their former club are limited.

Dzvukamanja and Madhake are likelier to feature but Chadya will have to count himself lucky if he gets the nod at the cost of Talbert Shumba, who was Scottland best player on their loss to Makepekepe.

Scottland lost 0-1 to Madamburo in the reverse fixture at Rufaro.

The visitors are winless in their last four games. The hosts have won three of their last four games.

Scottland coach, Tonderai Ndiraya is counting on the team’s senior players to improve the situation. “Naturally, when this happens everyone is sad we all hoped to win but this is part of the game. This is probably the process and good thing is we have a number of experienced players who knows how to handle this situation,” said Ndiraya.

“There is nothing we can do besides forgetting about our defeat and focus on the future. In football, the next game is the most important. The experience that we have in the team should help us and also inspire the youngsters in our team.”
