Homeless duo up for sodomy

TWO homeless Mutare men have been hauled before the courts after they were found pants down engaging in sodomy in the Central Business District. Takemore Chipote (31) and Leeward Masvingise (18) were not asked to plead when they appeared before Mr Langton Mukwengi for contravening Section 23(1) of the Criminal Law Codification Reform Act Chapter 9: 23.

They were denied bail. Ms Christine Mwenga prosecuted. The will be back in court on November 6. Mr Mukwengi denied them bail considering the seriousness of the offence and that they were of no fixed abode. If granted bail the court felt that they might abscond and it will be difficult for the police to trace them. Allegations surrounding the matter were that they were found having anal sex near OK Mart.

Chipote was mounted on top of Masvingise’s back with their pants down doing the unthinkable. “When one Knowledge Phiri, who also stays in the streets as does Masvingise and Chipote saw what was happening and drew closer, the duo ran away but Masvingise was apprehended. “Phiri asked him what they had been doing, and Masvingise stated that Chipote had forced him to have anal sex with him,” said Mwenga. Masvingise was later escorted to the police where he was arrested. Chipote was arrested the following day.
