AA� SHURUGWI man was dragged to court for sodomising a mentally challenged neighbour.
It is alleged that Delight Sibanda (31) from Togarepi Village under Chief Banga lured the mentally challenged man to his home by promising him $10.
After being given the money the mentally challenged man consented to having anal sex with Sibanda who kept him at his house the whole night.
Sibandaa��s mischief was revealed after his victim started playing at home repeating what he had done earlier.
Prosecuting the case Nyengeterai Machirava told the court that on the 23rd of November 2016 the accused person left a night club and met his target at a bus terminus and lured him to his homestead.
Testifying in court the victima��s sister revealed that her brother kept mimicking what Sibanda did to him.
a�?When I noticed that my brother was repeatedly doing the same thing I confronted him and that is when he told me that our neighbour had been doing that to him,a�? the sister said.
a�?He also told me that he was having difficulties visiting the toilet. Thata��s when it came to my mind that Sibanda had sodomised him,a�? she added.
Sibanda has since appeared before Shurungwi magistrate Eva Matura on charges of aggravated assault and was remanded in custody up to 30 December.
