Hospital seeks to raise US$1m

Obadiah Moyo said the money would be used to refurbish the hospital.
“We are fundraising for the hospital to bring improvements for the benefit of our clients,” said Dr Moyo.
“Previously we did fundraising with musicians and church organisations but this time we tried with corporate organisations through golf.”

Recently, said Dr Moyo, the hospital held a golf tournament called the Chitungwiza Hospital Charity Golf tournament that was held at Royal Harare Golf Club .
“We wanted US$1 million that will be used to redecorate the wards, replace board ceilings with metal ceilings. We intend also to improve the general outlook of the wards and expand maternity and neo-natal services.”
“We want to ensure clients who visit the hospital get the best since it is a community hospital. It is up to corporate organisations to contribute to the community through the hospital,” he said.
