ZPC KARIBA coach Sunday Chidzambwa and Rahman Gumbo of Chicken Inn were left fuming after the Premier Soccer League postponed the clash between their sides due to a waterlogged Nyamhunga pitch yesterday.
According to match commissioner Obert Zhoya said the PSL rescheduled the encounter to today at 10am.
“I have never seen such kind of a decision since my playing days before and after Independence,” fumed Chidzambwa. “The weather conditions will not have improved tomorrow (today).
“What I know is the PSL should have come up with a later date that will be convenient to both teams.”
His counterpart, Gumbo, said he would first consult his management before fulfilling today’s fixture.
“The decision was like that of a boozer’s match,” Gumbo charged. “We are going to consult with our management back in Bulawayo.”
Chicken Inn, who are five points behind log leaders Ngezi Platinum (60), were hoping to close in on the top with a victory in Kariba, while ZPC Kariba are now only fighting for a top eight finish.
