The Premier Soccer League have awarded How Mine maximum points and fined CAPS United for causing the chaos that characterised the abandonment league clash at Luveve last week.
The CAPS players boycotted the match after a row with their leadership over outstanding dues.
The match was supposed to be beamed live on SuperSport and the chaos was a bad advertisement for the league.
How Mine were awarded the match on 3-0 scoreline.
“The Castle Lager Premier Soccer League has fined CAPS United US$1 250 and awarded How Mine FC a scoreline victory of 3-0 in respect of their abandoned match on the 2nd of April 2015 at Luveve Stadium.
“In terms of Order 3 of the PSL Standing Orders, Offences and Fines, ‘Failure to fulfil a Premier Soccer League fixture without a valid reason,’ three points are awarded to the opposing team on a 3-0 scoreline.
“Further the defaulting team shall be fined US$1250.
“Furthermore, the League has also summoned CAPS to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee to answer charges of bringing the League and the game of football into disrepute,” a statement from the PSL said.
