A SUNNINGDALE man living with Albinism yesterday received a helping hand at a church service.
Admire Kudakwashe Machingauta was recently empowered by the Member of Parliament who represents people living with disabilities, Senator Nasper Manyau.
He was accorded time to sell his toilet cleaners to worshippers.
Prophet Kudakwashe Jose of Victorious Family Church International learnt about Kudakwashe’s plight when he read his story in H-Metro.
He ordered his congregation to support him.
Kudakwashe made headlines when it was revealed he was sleeping in a passage, and eating at funerals, after a family row.
He sold over 80 toilet cleaners.
“Glory be to God who remembered Kudakwashe in his time of misery.
“Tinotenga nekuti asarudza nzira yakanaka yekushanda nekushambadza zvaanogadzira nemawoko ake.
“He is a fertile ground for us to plant our seeds since he is not engaging in criminal activities,” one of the congregate said.
Members lined up and bought all the items with some paying above the stipulated price.
Kudakwashe thanked Senator Manyau for taking him for detergents training and equipping him with materials for manufacturing the detergents.
He thanked the Sunningdale community for raising their voices pertaining to his tough living conditions.
“I want to continue thanking the Sunningdale community for standing with me,” said Kudakwashe.
“I thank also Senator Manyau for empowering me with the skills to make toilet cleaners as well as giving me ingredients to start my own business.
“Not forgetting H-Metro newspaper for informing the nation by publishing my story,” said Kudakwashe.
Kudakwashe has since resolved some differences with his family members and has been accommodated at the family house.
Gospel musician Trymore Banda graced the church service and performed alongside the ministry’s Praise and Worship team.
