Hundreds gather at Mucheke Stadium for Defence Forces Day celebrations

Hundreds of people have thronged Mucheke Stadium in Masvingo for the Defence Forces Day celebrations.

The program started around 8 AM this morning with a detachment comprising men and women from the 4 Infantry Brigade involved in a high-octane march to Mucheke Stadium.

Upon arrival at the stadium, the parade, accompanied by drum majorettes, was welcomed by ululation from the crowd that filled Mucheke.

Proceedings are expected to reach a crescendo with the arrival of the Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs, Ezra Chadzamira, accompanied by service chiefs.

Minister Chadzamira is expected to inspect the parade alongside the 4 Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Oscar Tshuma.
