Hunt for town clerk

director of health services and a director of housing and community services after the incumbents were either fired or resigned.
The immediate past chamber secretary Ms Omega Mugumbate and director of health services Dr Micah Simoyi resigned while Ms Jemina Gumbo was fired.

The council is under the management of a resuscitation team headed by Manicaland provincial administrator Mr Fungai Mbetsa who is doubling as the acting town clerk and chairman of the resuscitation team.
Council advertised vacancies for the senior posts at the weekend.

Local Government, Rural and Urban Development Minister Ignatius Chombo recently announced that the Mbetsa-led resuscitation team will leave after the recruitment of the senior officials.

According to the job advert for town clerk, the council is looking for an individual with competencies in administration, especially in local government and with qualifications in law, commerce or any relevant social sciences degree.
