HUNTERS midfielder Tadiwanashe Huni says they are ready to cause an upset when they face CAPS United in the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup quarter-final at Rufaro this Saturday afternoon.

The rising midfielder has been one of the outstanding performers for Hunters this season and is expected to play a key role as they chase a semi-final spot.

Huni admits it will not be easy against Makepekepe, but said they are going into the match with belief.

“Yeah, it’s always a tough match whenever we face them (CAPS United) and we are going to give them the respect they deserve but we are going to try our best and win this game,” said Huni.

Hunters have been quietly preparing for the tie and the midfielder said morale in the camp is high.

“The preparations are as good as always and I’m sure the boys are all ready,” he said.

The youngster attributed his fine form to hard work and guidance from the technical team and senior players.

“For me, it’s always God first, training hard, following the coaches’ tactics and also the guidance that I get from the senior guys,” he said.

A win on Saturday would be a huge statement for Hunters, who are looking to make a name for themselves in the competition.

“It would mean a lot to us, the family, and victory is always a great feeling,” he said.

He also called on the club’s supporters to back them.

“I would like to encourage them all to come in their numbers so we all enjoy the beautiful game we love.”
