HUSBAND JAILED 23 YEARS FOR KILLING WIFE OVER US$40

A MAN has been jailed for 23 years after he killed his wife after an altercation over US$40.

Milton Tsanzirai Mukamba assaulted his wife several times with a number of weapons.

The tragic incident happened on June 4 last year at Farm 19, Tanda, Mayo.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, Milton bashed the wife all over the body with the intention to kill her.

On the fateful day, at around 10 pm, the two had a misunderstanding over US$40.

Mukamba was angry that his wife had used the money without his approval.

This resulted in him bashing his wife throughout the night until she died.

When police arrived at the scene, they found Mukamba standing with fellow villagers and was crying.

He was subsequently arrested.
