HWANGE are ready for a better season after battling for survival for the better part of last season’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign.
A late run of good results helped Chipangano make an impressive comeback in the PSL.
They eventually finished in ninth place with 45 points.
They open their 2024 campaign with a home match against Yadah Stars, the club which has been grabbing all the headlines during the off-season.
“We are ready for the league to start. We have been working hard at our training sessions and we can’t wait for the league to commence,” said coach, Nation Dube.
Chipangano lost the services of veteran goalkeeper Nedrick Madeya, holding midfielder Thabani Goredema, Brendon Rendo and Brighton Makopa, among others.
The club have re-united with ex FC Platinum captain, Gift Mbweti, who happens to be their biggest signing.
